I led the rebuild of RenaissanceRe's global pricing platform — and personally rewrote the entire pricing engine from
scratch in Python.
I'm a full-stack developer as well as an actuary. I build the systems that model and price complex risk. At AIG I
converted legacy Excel pricing tools into production Python applications, improving efficiency by 76%. While earlier in my
career I won the Aviva Capital Modelling Challenge for a novel approach to risk correlation methodology in capital modelling.
My secondment as Global Cyber Actuarial Lead at RenRe's Bermuda platform put me at the centre of one of the most complex
periods in the cyber reinsurance market — including the RenRe acquisition of Validus. Cyber reinsurance is among the
most technically demanding pricing problems in the market today. It requires fluency across accumulation modelling,
systemic risk, emerging legal frameworks, and rapidly evolving threat landscapes. It's where I've spent the last several
years.
The reinsurance market still runs largely on spreadsheets and manual processes. I believe the next step in reinsurance infrastructure is bigger than submission triage and pricing recommendation workflows.
